Our Advisory Board
While our regular board of directors at 40Plus sets the strategic direction
of 40Plus and oversees its operations, the advisory board, created in
January, 2003, has the responsibility to assist in increasing 40Plus'
credibility in the community, providing access to expertise, and raising
40Plus visibility within the greater metropolitan DC community. Our advisory
board members come from the commercial, nonprofit, education and government
sectors. They are diverse group of people - all committed helping mature
workers find rewarding jobs and careers.
Our advisory board members brings these skills and knowledge to our organization:
- An outside perspective on our plans and ideas
- Relationships with other organizations and individuals for fund raising
and partnerships
- Ability to act, on occasion, as spokespeople for 40Plus
- Contribute expertise when needed
- A unique professional qualifications or job position
- An interest in mature worker issues
- A willingness to do community service at a professional level.
Please contact the advisory board chair at dandrews@ubalt.edu if you would like to contribute to the continuing growth and health of 40Plus.
