The current economic climate presents great obstacles for job seekers in all sectors
– private, public, and nonprofit. As recovery continues from the nation’s deep
recession, the
nonprofit job market holds opportunities for well‐informed
individuals. Success depends on developing and following through on a strategic
employment search. Even in these uncertain times, talented individuals can find
meaningful nonprofit career destinations by utilizing a creative and well thought out
approach to finding their next job.
This workshop will provide information on what nonprofit job seekers can do to

BIO:
As President of Ramundo Consulting Group (RCG), Ms. Ramundo specializes in executive search and fundraising consultation for the nonprofit sector. Her clients include health organizations, educational institutions, social service agencies, cultural organizations, advocacy groups, foundations, and associations.
As an executive search consultant, Ms. Ramundo has successfully completed over 60 placements for senior-level and mid-level positions in management, fund development, programming, and finance. Her search experience includes recruitment for President, Chief Executive Officer, Executive Director, Vice President for Advancement, Director of Major Gifts and Planned Giving, Director of Development, and Director of Membership, among others.
Prior to establishing RCG, Ms. Ramundo was the Vice President of a boutique-style executive search firm devoted exclusively to serving the nonprofit sector. Under her tutelage, the firm built
an impressive client base and expanded to acquire a national presence.
As a seasoned fundraiser, Ms. Ramundo provides consultant services for capital campaigns, including feasibility studies; grant writing; prospect research; major gift campaigns; and planned
giving initiatives.
Ms. Ramundo’s commitment to public service is evident in her long and varied nonprofit career. She is mission-driven and works in partnership with client organizations to take an integrated approach to designing and executing projects. A cornerstone of her efforts is addressing the needs and desires of both the staff and nonprofit boards. She focuses on furthering the organization’s goals and objectives during her consulting process.
Ms. Ramundo graduated from the University of Maryland and received her Master of Education degree from McDaniel College. She currently serves as board secretary for Harmony
Montessori Center, board member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), and Team Leader for the Washington Area Women’s Foundation’s Leadership Awards Program. She is a member of Consulting Women, the Human Resource Association of the National Capital Area, Montgomery Ancient Mariners Master Swim Team, National Capital Gift Planning
Council (NCGPC), and Partnership for Philanthropic Planning (PPP).
