Preparing For a Federal Job

With David Barnes

Applying for Federal jobs can be an arduous process, especially if you are not currently a government employee. A Federal job can be rewarding as well as offering financial stability.

Today’s Federal job applications typically contain two major components.  Candidates must provide detailed information about their experience an relevant skills in their resumes, which may be as long as six pages.

Most vacancy announcements also include an occupational questionnaire that assesses their knowledge, skills, and abilities.  Resumes MUST support the answers to the questionnaires

THIS SEMINAR WILL:

  • Explain the steps to applying for a Federal job;
  • Discuss how to prepare a Federal resume; and,
  • How to customize resumes for specific vacancy announcements.
