  • Important questions to ask.
  • Follow up after the informational interview.
     

This important job search strategy will help you to determine if the job, the company and the industry is the right fit. It also helps to make inroads to the hidden job market.

We will discuss your individual concerns and experiences with informational interviewing.


 

ABOUT THE SPEAKER:

Tom Goodwin

has 45 years of experience in employment related professional positions in various corporate and nonprofit environments. He served as an Employment Manager at GTE Government Systems, a Technical Resource Manager at Compuware, Inc. and a Professional Development Manager at Keene Federal Systems.

Tom was an owner/partner at Applied Solutions, Inc., an IT solutions provider for Federal Government contracts. Early in his career, he worked as an employment agency recruiter in California where he served the hiring needs of companies in San Francisco’s Financial District and Silicon Valley.

Tom recently retired from the AARP Foundation where he served as a Project Director in a DOL Grant to coach individuals, age 55 and older, return to the work force.

Tom is a Vietnam Era veteran who served as a Psychiatric Social Worker at Landstuhl Medical Center in Germany. He has a BA in Psychology from Concord University and Graduate Work in Guidance and Counseling from Ball State University.
