Best Practices in the Use of LinkedIn

LinkedIn is an incredibly powerful tool for jobseekers but the biggest misperception (other than a profile is your resume and a photo) is that its value is in potential employers finding the job seeker. In fact, it’s just the opposite. With over 660 million profiles on LinkedIn, the passive “create a perfect profile and they will come” approach rarely generates results. The real value of LinkedIn is its ability to empower the jobseeker to tap into the hidden job market where the vast majority of hiring occurs since most jobs are never posted. This interactive presentation focuses on demonstrating the most effective and strategic ways to

  1. leverage LinkedIn to tap into the hidden job market and
  2. optimize the time you spend on LinkedIn.
