Monday Morning Speaker: JIM CHAMBERLIN

TOASTMASTERS:

"Thinking on your Feet"

Veteran Toastmaster and Raconteur Extraordinaire JIM CHAMBERLIN  brings the fun and practicality of this influential organization to 40Plus.

What you will learn in this presentation:

Toastmasters can be a special resource to the job seeker or career changer.

Toastmasters can provide a tremendously supportive environment for you to:

  • Maintain or improve your public speaking abilities.
  • Gain practical experience in leadership positions.
  • Network.
  • Socialize.
  • Have Fun.

There are nearly 300 Toastmasters clubs in the Washington, DC area alone. Clubs typically meet for an hour, twice a month. Many are sponsored by particular companies or agencies. Most are open to the public; guests are encouraged. Wherever you go in the world, you can walk into a Toastmasters club and feel most welcome.

There will be a live demonstration of the three things that happen at every meeting:

  • Prepared Speeches
  • Evaluations
  • Table Topics
