Special Program:  BoomerWorks Meetup

• Are you a Baby Boomer (age 55+)?
• Have you been looking for work for an extended period?
• Have you or would you consider freelancing, contract work or starting a business?
• Are you uncertain about how to take the next step?

If you answered yes, let us introduce you to BoomerWorks and invite you to a BoomerWorks Meetup. Our goal is to help you cultivate the possibility that becoming either a freelance worker of small business owner could be a path toward sustainable short- or long-term income.

As employers are trending away from hiring full-time workers, there are increasing opportunities for flexible work arrangements, which could include part-time, freelance and small business options. The Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts that by 2020 there will be 50% of American workers in freelance roles. We’re already at 38%.

BoomerWorks Meetups provide a safe, welcoming peer support group to help you translate your skills and experiences into a freelance / flexible work arrangement. If you have already begun this process, this group offer support to help you reach your full potential. In addition, each Meetup is facilitated by a professional career coach and is designed to offer you valuable insight and information about accessing free resources to start or continue your journey.

Hope you can join us!

(Note: BoomerWorks is a fiscally sponsored program of United Charitable, a registered 501(c)(3) public charity.)

Plan to join us after the meeting for networking. Admission is free.  Many of us carry our conversations to lunch at the nearby eatery.

Attire is business casual.

Doors open at 9:45 for networking and the program starts promptly at 10:00. at :
